Mangiamo: an old-style display serif
Mangiamo is a quirky and unique old-style display serif reviving Thomas Maitland Cleland's Della Robbia, originally designed in 1902 for ATF and based on 15th-century Florentine inscriptional capitals by Luca Della Robbia. Mangiamo was designed in Spring 2023 using RoboFont. Mangiamo's intended usage is for small to mid-size printed materials like books, flyers, and posters within the point size range of 30-50.

Modular Typefaces
These modular typefaces are all inspired by my own handwriting. I first wrote out the alphabet in my handwriting and then pulled out the shapes most integral to the letterforms in order to establish a set of modules. Using tracing paper, I began developing the different letterforms from the modules, narrowing down to the most successful set of 3 or 4 modules to develop the entire modular system. I then digitized the modular system in Adobe Illustrator.
My first modular typeface was created for my Type and Letterform studio in the fall of 2019. I was challenged to create a modular system using between three and five modules, and I opted to challenge myself further by using only three.

I developed this modular typeface in October 2020. I wanted to see if I could design a typeface still inspired by my own handwriting, but drastically different from my first modular typeface. I also wanted to expand the system into symbols and numeral characters.

I designed this modular typeface in October 2020 after the typeface above. Since my first two typefaces consisted of all capital characters, I wanted to challenge myself to create a system of all lower-case characters. I continued to expand the character system by including additional punctuation characters and symbols.
