A Little Bit About Me
Hello, I'm Emma! I am a multidisciplinary designer with interests in typography, book, editorial, and identity design. My research-driven design approach centers around integrating typography within a considered design system while balancing social narratives, effective communication, and personal expression.
My love for book design and typography is deeply rooted in my appreciation for the power of words and their ability to evoke emotions and convey messages. I believe that the visual presentation of text can greatly enhance the impact of written content, and I enjoy the challenge of crafting captivating layouts that engage the viewer while respecting the integrity of the written word. Book design holds a special place in my heart, as I am endlessly fascinated by the synthesis of visual and literary arts.
When I'm not designing, you can find me discovering new indie artists, binging one of my comfort TV shows, reading a book, or trying out a new cocktail recipe! Check out below to see what I’m currently reading, who I’ve been listening to, and what I’ve been watching :)
I recently graduated from the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis, where I earned a BFA in Communication Design and a minor in Marketing. I am currently open to new opportunities and freelance projects, and my resume is available upon request.
